I’m going back to India to speak at SQL Server Geeks Annual Summit

It’s not every day you get invited to speak at a conference. It’s always exciting and flattering. However, it is especially exciting when you’re invited to speak at a conference on the other side of the world. (And when your photo is on the site right under a Microsoft Corporate Vice-President!)

I’ll be flying to Bangalore for SQL Server Geeks Annual Summit (#SSGAS2016) where I’ll be giving a breakout session about Database Lifecycle Management (DLM) – which basically means improving your change management and deployment processes for your database*. We all know how bad database deployments can be and how much a bad one can cost your business so hopefully I’ll be able to save you a significant amount of money, as well as help you to deliver quality updates more quickly and efficiently.

This site gets a significant amount of traffic from India so if you are one of my readers (and you can get down to Bengaluru in August) and you would like to meet in person get yourself signed up.

But don’t just do it for me. SSGAS is Asia’s only Data Platform conference and Joseph Sirosh himself will be giving the keynote. The rest of the speaker line-up is awesome too, including many of my friends from the #sqlfamily.

Hopefully I’ll see some of you there!

*Yes there’s more to DLM than that. No I’m not going to get bogged down in the detail in this quick post.
